We pick up at homes and hotels in the Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez Valley areas. If you’re coming up from the L.A. area for the day, we can pick up at the Santa Barbara Amtrak train station.
-
We pick up in the Santa Barbara area around the 10:00 hour and drop off around the 5:00 hour. For Santa Ynez pick ups it’s closer to 11:00 and 4:00.

Yes and all wineries will appreciate your support. This is a unique opportunity to taste expertly selected wines before getting to purchase them. Wines (consumable souvenirs) can be taken away or shipped to almost all states. Alaska Airlines allows a case of wine (12 bottles) to be checked for free.

Every tour we offer is customized to the groups preferences. The Santa Ynez Valley is a dynamic growing region with over 70 varietals being grown. Within one afternoon we can visit cool climate Pinot Noir vineyards to warm climate Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, and much more in between. We typically customize an experience that showcases a variety of the best of what Santa Barbara County offers. (We do not receive commissions or kickbacks from any of the locations that we visit.)

With over 70 varietals and as much as a 30 degree daytime high temperature difference from one end of our relatively small valley to the other, there are multiple options. Beautiful Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines dominate the cooler western end of the Valley. While uniquely “Santa Ynez” Rhone varietals like Syrah and Grenache can be found in the middle. The warmer East end of the Valley is becoming know for expressively tropical flavored Sauvignon Blancs. Let us help you find the perfect match for your dinner table or afternoon beside the pool.
-
We encourage casual and comfortable clothing. Please dress in layers as the temperature can vary dramatically from one end of the Valley to the other. Typical locations on a tour may include a cold barrel room or a vineyard view picnic table under an Oak tree on a warm afternoon. Walking is usually limited unless otherwise requested. Please refrain from strong cologne or perfume or anything that might disrupt your ability or others from properly enjoying the wines.

We use a customized new Mercedes Sprinter Van for transportation. While all other tour companies transport up to 12 passengers in the same size vehicle, we’ve chosen to remove all bench seats and replace them with ultra comfortable Captains Chairs with a spacious interior. Our tours have a maximum of 8 comfortable passengers
-
The main differences between the two tours are the vehicles used for transportation, some of the locations visited, the level of private experience, and the price. With our shared tour we use a customized Mercedes 8 passenger van. For private tours of 5 guests or less we use a Tesla Model X SUV. For both tours, the wine tasting locations we visit are what we feel are the regions best, providing seated and private tastings with appointment only access. Depending on the private groups preferences, we might visit locations that are not available to the general public and require special access.
